Sky Zone Trampoline Park and Fun

Our little town here seems to be growing constantly and is always getting new stores, restaurants, and any other assortment of ways for me to waste money. :p Well, I go to Gold's gym a few times a week and when I was there today I took notice that the construction on the building next door was finally finished and they had put up a new sign, "Sky Zone Trampoline Park" it read. That looks kind of exciting and fun I thought as I passed right by and went to work out. Fate is a funny thing though and as I was leaving my two year old took an extreme interest  in two dancing blow machine thingies (name seems legit right?). So I try to satisfy her curiosity when ever I am able to (and I might have been curious and had an ulterior motive...shhhh) and so we went and checked out the new place. Needless to say our family went this evening after my husband got home from work.

I wasted none of our 1-hour jumping experience and went straight to it. My husband decided to pick up the phone and take a few pics. Our 2 year old was allowed to jump with us as well which was really nice...the down side was we had to pay full price for her.

The cost was a little pricey. It was $14 per person for 1-hour and then $2 per pair of special jump socks (which are not optional but are re-usable). These were the prices for the free form jump time which is what we decided we wanted to do as a family.

They do have fitness classes at certain times that they offer for $10 a class or a set of 10 classes for $80. With a two year old who just wanted to run around and play (and parents that wanted to run around and play too) this option was not for us.

They also have a Toddler Time class on Fridays and Saturdays that is only $6 for 1-hour of jump and play time. I have been looking for an activity to do with my toddler every week that would basically give her exercise and fun (and tire her out..shhhh). Well, when you compare that to dance (studio I am looking at is $45 a month for 30 minutes of dance) or gymnastics (place I am looking at is $75 a month for 45 minute class) then 1 $6 class a week would equal to about $24-ish a month for a 1 hour class of jumping fun and exercise. That is a great deal in my opinion! Not to mention it is next door to my gym so talk about convenient!

Now, for those of you reading this and thinking "yeah...but she doesn't LEARN anything". Well, maybe not, but she is 2 and I think she will love this and that is a higher priority to me right now. Dance and Gymnastics can wait a few more years.

The positives for Sky Zone were that it was a bunch of trampolines and what isn't fun about that? It was also good exercise and a good use of family time. They also offer classes that are decently priced and their staff was super friendly!

The negatives for Sky Zone were that it was a bunch of trampolines and for some reason I kind of expected more. Maybe that is strange because it is a trampoline place, but I expected more. Part of it might have been that a lot of their areas were closed. There is a basketball ball trampoline court (would have been fun), dodge-ball arena (would have been fun, maybe not 2 year old appropriate though) and a cheese-pit or foam pool (open for like 10 minutes). They are also a little bit pricey in my opinion, but hey, it was fun and in the end I feel it was worth it.

Sky Zone was a lot of fun and I am sure my family will take advantage of it again in the future! If you are interested in checking them out here is a link to their website:
